  • School open to innovation, digital classroom, use of current and  three-dimensional technologies, the Junior High website, the IT festival, new instructional practices.
  • A school open to society: charity, exchange of visits with the Centre of Infant Adoption “MITERA”, institutionalized programmes for each class with the aim to sensitise students to the Holocaust, bullying, cyber crime, the refugee issue, totalitarianism, racism, the blind, affection towards animals, etc.
  • A school open to the Letters and the Arts: Literature week, creative writing courses, promotion of the love for books with competitions and specialized programmes, participation in art exhibitions, collaboration with prominent composers and musicians, an iPad band, attendance of theatrical performances, etc.
  • Open classroom: cross-curricular instruction, group work, peer observation, induction of new teachers.
  • Use of laboratories, a hands-on approach to natural sciences, experiments and observation at outdoor venues.
  • Differentiated instruction: promotion of individuality by means of personal counseling, tutoring, student portfolio, enhancement of skills through student clubs, individual instruction for reinforcement, development of emotional intelligence through visits to designated venues.
  • Academic excellence: compulsory participation of each student in at least 2 competitions throughout the school year, announcement of in-school and cross-school competitions, participation of students in conferences, oratory competitions, demonstration of experiments, and a bilingual programme.
  • Partnerships with Universities and Institutions: the Cultural Institution of Piraeus Bank Group, the Jewish Museum, the Michalis Kakoyannis Institution, the “Smile Of a Child” Institution and others, varios schools in Greece and abroad, organization of conferences.
