European Schoolnet operates key European services in education on behalf of the European Commission, member Ministries of Education and industry partners. European Schoolnet is the network of 31 European Ministries of Education, based in Brussels. Its mission is to support education stakeholders in Europe in the transformation of education processes for 21st century digitalized societies. European Schoolnet aims on bringing innovation in teaching and learning to key stakeholders: Ministries of Education, schools, teachers, researchers, and industry partners.
STEM HIGH-LEVEL EVENT 2017: Advancing and stalling - up education - industry collaboration, co-organized by STEMAlliance, CRS Europe and European Schoolnet.
High-level representatives from businesses and the education sector were gathered for the #ScalingUpSTEM conference of the #STEMAlliance in Brussels to discuss how to advance and scale up business-education cooperation to improve Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) studies and careers in Europe. 12TH SCIENTIX PROJECT’S NETWORKING EVENT: Gender and Innovation in Steam Education, co-organized by Scientix, PERFORM, GEDII and European Schoolnet.
Representatives from the European Commission, UNESCO, universities and schools had the chance to share experiences, address gender aspects in science education and reflect upon the role of arts-based approaches for combating gender stereotypes and bias within science and beyond. The ideas, comments, results of the discussion between participants will be published in a Scientix Observatory article co-authored by all participants.
